Apologies if this is the wrong place to put this.

I'm looking to rent a garage in the Abingdon area, Oxfordshire, obviously for a Mini project! I'm wanting to do a K-Series Mini, but can't seem to locate a garage to do this! If anyone has one or knows of one please let me know.

Cheers,
Will

Anyone? My parents are getting annoyed about the amount of Mini parts I'm collecting!

Ive tried for years then gave up . If you can find somewhere people will want £500 a month . You could get a single garage but then you have no room and noise issues . You  can get them from the housing associations but you are not allowed to work on cars in them ! Catch 22 !

If you manage to get to talk to a farmer , again he will want a arm a leg for somewhere crap , i drove to steventon to look at somewhere and it was a wooden pheasant shed with no head height , no power , and he wanted £400 just to store a car !

They are the exact problems I'm getting! I found one, about a mile from me, absolutely ideal, on Gumtree. However, when I contacted the lady she had changed her mind :(.

Go stick some notes on garages or something . What about that block of the Oxford road ? As you come down from the roundabout , 1st left and they are on your right gated off , they look unused to me .

Thats a good idea, I'll write up some leaflets! Those garages are about 200m from my house lol! I beleive they are council, but i see one or two prople use them a month! I may pin something to the gates.

Definitely worth asking around local farms, or stick up some leaflets like already said. wouldn't hurt and you never know... I was lucky to get my barn through a mate and it is so nice to have one. More room than I could wish for :P I was looking for absolutely ages for just a half decent lockup type place and gave up looking so was unexpected to get offered it

Quite! I've got a subframe coming soon, aswell as a metro gearbox, plus 3 sets of wheels and a couple of boxes of spares hahaha! Everytime I get a parcel, I get hassled!

There are a few farms local, but I've asked one and he told me to pretty much "p*ss off"! Ill hold out for now. Im aiming to build up the K series front subframe, engine, gearbox, etc, then over a half term swap it into a mini and get it running, but a garage would make it sooo much easier! A place to strip a mini completly!

Most local farms are not farms so to speak , most have has every outbuilding turned into proper units or they are offices . The joys of Oxfordshire property prices .
