so after a trip to see Chris and the guys at Z-cars the other week, Ive bitten the bullet and hacked my mini to pieces. :)

the plan is for the basic kit+ a limited slip diff and their ma-hoosive wilwood brakes mounted to the rather nice tubular front frame ......oh yeah plus a hayabusa engine

Here some pictures of my buchery so far ,Not many but I'm waiting for a slot at the painters,........erm and some money :-

Thanks for looking ill be sure to update it as and when stuff gets done but I'm on hols now for a fortnight so i doubt i'll do much on it .By the way whose was that gorgeous retro grey R1 mini yesterday at mini showdown?

Hope you have at least £10k to spare as you cant build it for less than that even if you skimp on the niceties!!!

The race series sounds brilliant doesn't it? Problem is, if I got within 10 feet of another car I'd lay an egg for fear of scratching /denting my pride and joy. I think you're right Mark we'd have to build specific race cars. I am interested in hillclimbing though. I keep meaning to check my blue book to see what class it'd be eligible for.....
