Found a box of stuff that contained my mini's handbook. Amoungst the bits and pieces were the dealer details, Beadles on Spital Street Dartford. The car was bough new from them in 1st May 1994.  Googling them now shows them as VW dealers still in Dartford but at a new address. Anyone buy their car from them back in the day ?

They started out as John C Beadle, a very old established Dartford car dealership, there original showroom in Spital Street is now a Wetherspoons pub. We bought my wife a Brand new Mini Cooper in 1991, replaced it with another new one in 1994 which caused so many problems I clearly remember my wife throwing the keys across the Service managers desk and telling him to keep it!

 

I negotiated a good deal direct with Rover and changed it for another new one in 1995 with she changed in 1997 for a Peugeot 106!

 

I never forgot the fun we had with these cars which is why I now own a Mini 40 with only 20,000 on the clock.

My father purchased a new MGB GT, I purchased a second hand Triumph Spitfire 1500, as a family they arranged all our car insurances.
