Most header tanks I have seen feed water somewhere into the system via a fairly small pipe and have a return of similar size, the system only takes water from the header when it needs it and returns it when the water in the system expands. The water system on our 7 runs a header tank that has an inlet and outlet of equal size to the rest of the system. Water constantly flows through the header tank as part of the flow system? Is this a true header system? Can someone explain the difference and would I be better off with the other type?
