Hi all, I've got this 997 cooper for sale. I bought it a few weeks ago after i got a bit excited, with the intention of getting a mate to do the major work and respray before i'd put it back together. He's got a lot of work on at the moment tho so wouldnt be able to touch it for a long time, and the shell needs a bit more work than anticipated. Has been reshelled with a '65 body and still sits on hydro suspension. Comes with heritage certificate, twin 1 1/4 su's with correct airbox, rare original smiths heat exchanger, 997 pistons and new rings, correct cylinder head, cooper exhaust manifold, cooper 's' disks, 100mph speedo, period correct minilites.

Viewing advised to assess the condition of the shell for yourself, looks pretty solid tho, front floors have been done but could do with being tidied. Boot floor has a couple of holes, A-panels look solid, boots great, doors are good, sills are good. Will be listing on ebay on Sunday, looking for £5000 or close offer BIN, for someone thats got the time it would be a great investment.

Lots of pics here..

I am confused. You say this is a 997 cooper but it has an 850 gearbox (or a cooper gearbox with an 850 diff casing and pudding stirrer), hydrolastic suspension (should be dry) and the body shell doesn't seem to resemble the cooper embellishments. What does the heritage certificate and logbook say it is?
