Can Someone With A Sump Guard Off Their Car Take A Measurement For Me?

The height between the mounting parts and the inner surface of the guard.
If that makes sense.

I am flattening of the bottom of the whole car this time. Last time I had a hole cut for the sump to come through but this time I am doing it correctly.
Well as correctly as a bodger with a welder can. ;)

Cool I'll get my rules out at the workshop tomorrow.
Have you considered raising the engine up in the frame so that the sump is level with the bottom of the frame? I've been thinking about raising it on my estate project to get the drive shafts a little closer to lever and to gain a little more ground clearance.
It might put that IDA on yours even close to the roof height though. ![]()

But on a rod type box. Running a proper coil over set up. Take a few inches out of the subframe towers and make up new rear mounts.....
A lot of reading of competion rules is needed.
And then the re reading.
For example "front spoiler is not allowed to flex" ok seems simple. But how much flex is permissible? Nothing is black or White.

You should talk to someone at Ferrari. They seem to be experts on just how much wing flex is enough not to catch a rollocking.

If - If - I get a chance tomorrow, I'll measure one up. From memory, they are actually tappered.

As spider says there is sligh downward slope from front to rear. The best I can measure is 35MM from the bottom of the sump to the joint in the subframe shown in the second picture.
Erm second picture?
