Got both, but I'm wondering how the 'doughnut type' fits :)
As the cup type doesn't sit tight enough imho..

They're plain ( would this mean new guides on a A series head?)
Its weard, when I put them on my CAM4810 head they are snug, but not on the 295 head O.o
thanks!

Sounds like you have the wrong guides installed for your valves....
The early valves the O ring sits on the valve stem and runs up and down the guide...
Later the 'cap' type valve stem seals were introduced and they are held in place by a radial groove in the outside of the guide.

The above pictured valve guide is new... that's what you should get if you order 12G1963

Do they still sell the grooved valve guides?
That's about all you can get.
The O Type are a waste of time fitting them.
