Hi everyone.

 

Bit of a long shot as the car is located on the Isle of Wight but i thought i might give it a go on the off chance there is an Island TMF member needing a runabout.

 

Ill copy and paste the advert from where it is currently advertised.

 

As title, MOt until October. Blue with Blue Tartan cloth interior. Kenwood CD radio fitted. Good condition with just a few minor scratches and marks. Recently had work done including a pair of brand new driveshafts, 2 new front tyres, front anit roll bar bushes, exhaust back box, rear brake shoes, rear wheel cylinders, balljoints and a new brake pipe.
It's also had a recent Oil filter and new Oil.
Only problem is the clutch release bearing has started to make a noise on tickover and when just pulling away in 1st but it still drives great and will still give plenty of service. The centre section of the exhaust is blowing a bit but i may fix this over the next few days.
It has the usual old small car rattles and squeaks but never let us down. It is very economical returning 90-95 miles for £10 of Unleaded if driven conservatively. It's been a great car for us and never let us down. Selling due to needing a bigger car. Ideal for learner driver or cheap Island runabout.

I use it mostly on the Island but have used it several times to go from here to kent and back and it is absolutely fine.

 

I'm after £300 but of course will take offers

In the event someone may want it and lives on the mainland Portsmouth/southampton etc then i can collect you from the ferry and bring you to the car.

If I saw this about 3 weeks ago I would of had it! Needed a workhorse for weekends and this would of been spot on.

It's done us well. I only bought it to use until the MOT ran out to get me out of trouble. Then i bought the Scenic thinking i could fix that quickly, failed to do that so ended up putting the 106 through another MOT hence all the new parts.

The garage that did the MOT ended up rebuilding the back brakes with new cylinders and he commented that it was very good mechanically and he couldn't see it needing anything else doing.

 

It will do someone else a turn now though
