Take a wire directly from another live, ie solenoid , to the +ve side of coil and see if it starts.
Do you have a meter or bulb to check there really is not a live when ign is on?

That has nothing to do with the question you are asking!
Is there a live at the coil with ign on?
Lets establish that first, before we get to sparks at plugs!

If you have a meter or a test lamp, check - with the key on! - that there is 12V getting to the Coil (White wire).

Tested White wire no power with ign on??
OK, then I'd next check the Ignition Switch. They have a plug to connect to the loom, they often give trouble. Pull it apart (some have clips on the sides holding them together) and clean / check all the contacts. Might also be worth checking that you have 12V on the Brown Wire there in the loom side.
If no joy after that, then there's every chance that the Ignition switch is worn out.

again, what year is it - reason for asking, if it is an injection car then the diagnosis route is different, the injection ecu won't power the coil if the crank sensor signal is missing for example..
