Hi Everyone
I'm really glad i've found this site-been driving minis for a few years now as they are one of the few cars that it's possible to repair with a very low knowledge base and a Haynes manual-
Just got a Mini City that is leaning over to one side at the back and , now, finding the FAQ on fitting hi-lo's has saved me an aweful lot of time and stress-excellent

cheers

worlds worst mechanic

Excuse me, excuse me, welcome yes, but who says world's worst? Worse than me? I don't think so.
Maybe we should have a competition. Let's have examples of silly mistakes in Silly Chat starting

thanks for the welcome,

you're right-i'm probably not THE world worst mechanic but i'm down there somewhere

clutch went on the mini last night-as we set out for a couple of days camping
i've done a clutch before-got it out-fitted a new one-realised i'd put one piece in the wrong way-had to take it all apart again and fix it-put it together then a week later found out that the engine mountings were knackered-happy days

Hello and Welcome! CAnt be as bad as me. I was sanding down a wheel and something shot into my eye and I had to go to A+E! Now beat that.

Was removing the bonnet so I didn’t end up banging me head on it while working, when the spiky bit attacked me and ended up having to have stitches to hold my head back together.
