At some point over the summer my sons mini will need the radius arms refurbishing or replacing. What are people's experience of the minispares recon arms. On the website they look well presented. Generally On my way! bit of amfunny bugger about buying the best quality parts, originality etc. so I'm interested in peoples experience of recon or new and why ??

Thanks

I've not used any of minispares but my hunch is that you won't go far wrong with them

Sure they will be fine. It's pretty much the standard way of replacing radius arms to buy recon exchange arms, even TMS and places like that can do them. If it was me I would use the minispares ones.

I bought the kit then spent ages trying to find an engineering shop with the right reamer.

Buy the arms. It'll work out cheaper!

There is a shortage of them now!
I refurbish a good number a week, and people never send in old ones, even though we and poeple like Mini Spares put a surcharge on them, refunded if we get them old ones back!

I use Minispares ones...

I even sold a reaming tool not so long ago, as it's just not worth doing them yourself...

I must admit tho' I pull the bearing out and the pin, and get them powder coated before rebuilding and putting them on the car.

I think I'm settled on pulling mine out, powder coating them and sending to AC for the works ;)

John - may ask for your powder coaters details or send via you if that's an option ?

You will need the arms stripped, cleaned and blasted before you take for PC.

Or..

Just give them to me...
