Hi

Can you service the fuel pump (put a new diaphragm in) or do you have to replace the whole thing?

I've got a manual pump from a 1275cc 1994 Sprite.

Thanks

Rod

Happy to be corrected on this but I'm reasonably sure there was only one UK fitted SU Mechanical Pump that was servicable and for which kits were available for, though these kits seem to have ceased production long ago, though I did find some NOS ones, but the rubber had gone so hard, they were worse than the ones I took out! The particular pumps went under SU's P/N of AUF700.

As far as I am aware, no parts were made available for any of the other SU Mechanical Pumps.

Which fuel pump is it?  You could give Burlen and ask them in person if it is a genuine SU pump.

If you aren't keeping it 100% original, you might find an electric pump is both cheaper and more reliable ... you can fit a blanking plate over the hole in the block.
