Could I ask if anyone knows how to remove the headrests on the later type 90's leather seats please,I was told they should just pull out but they don't it looks possible that they have some sort of lock to them.Any help with this please many thanks.

There is a button that needs to be pushed in on the seat where the headrest goes through.

There should be a button which you can kind of see in the below pic, push that in and it should come out

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              down from this arrow            v1743511_656830794434926_3453852052699642

I think you might have to twist / press something on the other side to fully remove them.  I've done it hundreds of times when loading stuff into the back, as you can lift the front seats further.  I can't remember exactly what I do (and my mini's not here at the moment to check), but I think you press on the plastic base on one side to slide it up, and then press / twist slightly the other side to release it.  If doesn't need a lot of force.

Here is how mine work..... close up pic of the small clip you push in

and then on the other side you can see how it works, ie the bits that are cut into the legs to adjust the height of it.

Push the clip all the way in and pull the headrest off. Only one side has the ratchet like stops on the leg.
