I bought a pair of Securon 3pt inertia reel seat belts for my 1970 Mini. I think I purchased this from Mini Spares. The car is parked for most of its life when one day the drivers side seatbelt would not retract or release. I tried pulling lightly etc. It would not budge. After a lot of fiddling I took out the plastic cover that says do not remove. I found out that the plastic piece that attaches the spring to the spool has broken off. This seatbelt is hardly used and is probably 1 or 2 years old.

Does anybody know if this can be fixed or is there a warranty? or maybe a different manufacturer of seatbelts?

Securon make terrible seatbelts IMHO, they never ever last. There are other brands but I don't know how easy they will be to get hold of in Guam. FDTS in West Byfleet, Surrey stock most seatbelts but I don't know if they will ship to you. They use really nicely made retractors from all the top manufacturers and will assemble any belt you like really. There are similar specialists all over the world. If you were in this country incidentally it would be completely illegal for you to repair this yourself, don't mess with seatbelts.

Thank you for your response, I agree but I tried to find another website for another manufacturer of seat belts but no luck. I had no choice and bought securon seat belts again. I hope they last longer than the last one I had
