"A pair of rare Mini 30s with little more than delivery mileage will go under the hammer at this weekend’s Anglia Car Auctions sale in King’s Lynn, Norfolk.

The special editions are both expected to raise more than £10,000 in the sale. The lowest milage car, one of only 1,000 black Mini 30s produced, has covered just 18 miles from new, while the leggier of the two has a heady 137 miles on the clock."

Why have so many Mini 30's survived? They must have the best survival rate of all the limited editions.

There were more 30's than any other LE for the period, therefore there's a greater chance of them surviving, but in general they were complete rot boxes.

I remember going to look at a few a good 10 years ago, and without exception they were all completely rotten....

Theres quite a few minis plus a few early models in that auction. Generally there's some nice looking stuff.

The Mini 30 was thought by many to be the last anniversary model at the time, so many were tucked away as future investments......but in the end production continued for another 10 years or so.
