Ok so when I start my mini up it leaves clouds an clouds off white smoke when I put choke in it stops.dont get much driveing. I just got head skimmed and new gasket seals after water an oil mixed. I left mini in with ards rover an mini centre to be timed and they done good job 1month ago .Ive owned car 4 years I think maybe because its been sitting to. When I first got car it run fine just when I took it out a hose stuck in fan broke it an busted radiator. I fitted new radiator an fan but when I took her a drive it over heated big time had to wait a hour before drove it back. Then I left it with a mates mechanic that ripped me off big time didnt fix anything and put some steel stop in the engine thats fixes cracks apparently and it blasted out again they didnt even how to use it. shut shop an run. So iam thinking it could be burning all that rubbish its went thought poor we car

Wow. What a post.

Right, have you run the car for a significant amout of time? ie have you run it upto full operating temperature? Did you re-torque the head after the headgasket change and then a full heat cycle? Does it lose much water?

yes the head was re torqued by ards mini centre. The heat blows fine hot and cold I got the guy at ards mini centre to look over it an they done good job. Only thing now is the white smoke when I start it.

How much smoke? Could it just be condensation burning from the inside of the exhaust?

I remember one of mine doing this. I woulf start it up from cold or after it had been stood for a hour or so after driving, when it started it would throw a plume of white smoke out on start up and was fine there after. Once i took the engine out and gave it a refresh which involved a new headgasket and stem seals etc it stopped.

Right first thing first I have edited your post to remove the language. It's against forum rules so please be careful what you write.

Secondly a lot of white smoke out of the exhaust is not good especially on start up. This could be a leaking HG and yes new ones do leak depending on what type has been used and whether it's had a retorque after the first heat cycle.

Are the fluid levels ok?? When you look at the Head to block interface does it look wet??

Now normally on start up you will get some condensation like most cars but if it's a serious cloud then that is not correct. Are sure it's white and not a pale blue?? If it's blue then it's oil and this then points to worn valve guide seals or guides.

Another potential source is brake fluid if you have a faulty brake servo. Not unheard of but a possibility.

Sorry about that excuse my language

I got HG set off ebay not sure if it was top of the range but it was same 1 that came off my car copper 1.
I checked all fluids r fine.
See what you say about head to block wet. Just head looks wet maybe spilled oil.
I do have servo but think if it was faulty them guys in ards rover an mini centre would off it.
Would no oil in carb do any thing I put 3n1 oil in it but checked there an seemed empty

Personally to me sounds like your head gasket repair didn't work very well if it overheated badly don't know how prone to warping a series heads are but it could be toast.

When i replaced the HG on my clubman last year even after a heat cycle re torque it still seeped. It did the L2B run ok but still seeped oil. So after a quick call to minispares i then fitted a Payen head gasket and that cured that particular problem.

It does sound HG related so may pay to to buy a decent HG and try again. With the head off check the head for trueness using a decent steel rule and feeler gauges. may also pay to check the block face as well.

It never over heated after the head being skimmed an repaired. Just about 2 years ago when I had problem with the radiator.

I very recently had a cheap headgasket and a payen head gasket side by side on the bench and i can definately see and feel the extra quality in the payen gasket. Well worth paying extra for.
