I have a Maniflow injection LCB and ever since I installed it, I have been wondering about heat. Currently, the stock heat shield has been left off but I am wondering if I should add it back on...maybe even with the underside lined in a heat deflective material.

I have read all the problem with wrapping mild steel headers and even though I am in a little dryer place and dont really drive the car in the wet, I think its not recommended. Ceramic coating inside and out is an option I know. Just wondering if adding the heat shield back might help any. I'm sure under bonnet temps will still be up but maybe it would help a bit with the intake temps?

Dont wrap or coat the header, it will get damaged( bent/cracked) my 1275(1993 build) has no front heat shield fitted, (steel Lcb manifold and stainless system)
The manifold is rusted but it is still solid :)
