Hello TMF.

Quite a simple one to most of you but something I do not know. The question here reefers to discs, not drums as I know the disc and drum bearings are different.

Are the wheel bearings in the front discs the same across the years?

I have a set of hubs on my 1967 (7.5 Cooper S disc setup) mini that need the bearings replacing. Are these going to be the same all the way up until they stopped production?

Reason I ask is i bought some Timken (or what ever the expensive ones are called) for a 1996 model car i had and there still sat in my tool box.

Am I going to be able to use these on my early hubs?

Thanks for any help as always.

Dimensionally the front wheel bearings from start to finish are all the same, even between Drum and Disc, though most of the Drum Brake types were fitted with Ball type Bearings.

The Bearings you bought for your 96 Car will fit your early hubs, no problem.
