Alexander were a popular tuning company in the 1950's and 60's. They did parts for many BMC models as well as Rootes Group. Later they became better known for accessories.

A popular conversion kit for non Cooper Mini's was twin Strombergs.

What is the spacing between the studs for the carb?

If the studs are closer together then those used for twin SU inch & quarter HS2 carbs then it is quite possible the manifold is for the smaller inch and eighth H1 carbs.
