I recovered the seats in black with white piping, replaced the carpets, the door cards and handles, leaving just the dash area to be overhauled.

The top and bottom rails are grey, but want them in black.

Do I recover or replace? I'll also be adding a dashboard, so don't want to recover with something that may bulk it out and cause problems installing the dashboard.

Cheers

Luke

Are they OK other than wrong colour? If they're OK then why not just recolour them?

You can get good vinal colouring sprays. I did the opposite to you, I went black to grey using Septone vinal spray. 2 years of Aussie sun later and it's still like day one.

sounds like a good idea...though just came across http://optauto.easys...espoke-Options

£25 for top and bottom covers looks to be a good price

To add to this, i need to replace the grey steering cowl with a black one - has anyone sprayed one of these?

I did the dash, colon cover and standard steering wheel in grey. It's still on there and looking good.

I sprayed the bottom rail and managed to get hold of an innocenti top rail for mine including the very much sought after ashtray. Looks sweet.

I vinyl wrapped mine.

No that difficult and can be removed if you want to change or go back to original
