Hi All. The engine has been out of my mini over the winter to get all the body work repairs carried out. I am now in the process of replacing a leaking timing cover seal.

The question I have is when I removed the cover there was a small amount of oil inside. Is this normal or is it something I should be worried about?

Perfectly normal.

I'd be worried if no oil came out

Mind at rest, now i can get on with the rebuild
