actually, of all people involved with Minis you should be aware as a company that your client base has a young, sometimes inexperienced, element. Also that they are dealing with old cars with idiosyncrasies due to at least six different manufacturers in the cars history, plus probably a lifetime of bodging on the cars they own.
When they come across an anomaly such as this, panic sets in, understandably.

An advisory note on your webpage would save them and MS a lot of grief. On some trivial items the site perfect fitment info....time this problem was mentioned, don't blame a supplier of the standard car that your aftermarket parts don't fit!

I realise you cant tell all and sundry to attack hubs with a angle grinder to remove metal from a bearing carrier but
"some light massaging of the hub carrier may be necessary to allow sufficient clearance, on some models. Professional advice may be advised" ;o)

In closing, I think Minispares service and parts are excellent

I got it sorted in the end, I did indeed need to fettle the hub a little with a grinder and a flap disc. It was just after the increase in diameter from the lip up to the main thicker part. Didn't need to remove much, and in fact the driver side was only a tiny catch, whereas the passenger side was a bit worse. Not the nicest feeling attacking hubs with a grinder, but it should be OK as the casting is very thick there and it was only about a 2mm broad section I had to relieve about 05-1mm.

Just reading this for the first time after being linked to from the same issue happening now.

I see the issues, I can't understand why they don't just machine the inside of the discs to the profile of a standard disc, instead of the curved profile. It will then fit both upright styles.
