My 1380 with a hif44 and kent 276 stalls when it gets warm.
I have set static timing at 8dgr BTDC, starting very easy when the engine is cold. And when it's getting hot it misfires and stalls when i touch the throttle, can't set the timing with the lamp becouse of this.

Anyone got some tips? :)

What needle, and have you set the mixture at 2.5-3% at idle

Could it be weak? What happens if you pull the choke out?

we don`t have any rolling roads nearby unfortunately.

i don`t know what needle as i have not had it open, but it ran fine last year before i took engine out for a little overhaul.

it`s running fine at low temp with choke out, and when it gets warm and push the choke in it misfires. but it`s very black smoke comming from the exhaust, im thinking to rich maybe?

Choke linkage isn't a little bit sticky is it?  Maybe the choke is staying on a bit and it's just too much when it's warm?

Choke was i bit on, as i had tighten the cable to much. it got a bit better, but still misfires and stalls.

Have checket for leaks, no leaks found.

Tighten the head nuts, the two on the right side was a bit loose. next is to check valve clearance and then carb settings...

Have you sprayed the manifold and carb gasket area with wd40 to see if its drawing air

At idle and hot if you use the lifting pin in the HIF body does it stall then? indicated weak so try adjusting the mixture until it revs slightly and settles, revs up and stays there is to rich.
