Do you hear it sizzeling all the time? Or only when it's turned off?
If it only does it while it's turned off after a run, I'd check for leaks.

I've noticed that there is sometimes some very light steam coming from the radiator cap. Perhaps that's slightly loose. I tried taking the cap off and putting it back on firmly in the hope it might fix it ![]()

I explained why it was happening earlier in the thread (as above).Well if the expansion tank is full to the brim, theres nowhere for the water to go when it expands is there. If the tank is under pressure this is why its sizzling. Remove some coolant from the expansion tank so its about half full.
