Do you hear it sizzeling all the time? Or only when it's turned off?

If it only does it while it's turned off after a run, I'd check for leaks.

I can only hear it after I turn the engine off, but I can't hear it over the engine anyway...

If it appears after a few seconds of turning it off id really check for leaks

I've noticed that there is sometimes some very light steam coming from the radiator cap. Perhaps that's slightly loose. I tried taking the cap off and putting it back on firmly in the hope it might fix it  :gimme:

Have you removed some coolant from the expansion tank yet?

I emptied some fluid from the expansion tank, and I've changed the fluid in the radiator and it's fixed now. I don't know what specifically made it make the noise, but it's fixed :)

Well if the expansion tank is full to the brim, theres nowhere for the water to go when it expands is there. If the tank is under pressure this is why its sizzling. Remove some coolant from the expansion tank so its about half full.

I explained why it was happening earlier in the thread (as above).

If its stopped since you've left some expansion room in the tank then thats why its not sizzling anymore.

When coolant gets hot it expands. You need to leave room in the expansion tank to take account of this.
