new to the Forum, at least as a member. Not new to the Mini, it has been some 12 years now since I was infected and bought and restored the first Mini. Since then my condition got worse, had several Minis. Currently the number is down to three. A Mayfair Saloon, '78 Clubman Estate and a '78 Van.
The Mayfair is fully restored to original condition, had sills replaced recently they lasted only 10 years.
The Clubman is in progress, still on axle stands, but already assembling it, also keeping it as original as possible, keeping original paint etc.
The Van I have bought just in February and was in running condition with a moderate amount of rust. I gave it a quick fix, replaced the brakes, tires etc. and got it back on the road. Currently developing fuel related issues, I guess it was parked for a long time and I made a mistake of giving it a full tank, possibly dissolving the rust...
I am located in Hungary, we have a pretty active Mini scene here with about one meeting a month and other non-Mini specific meetings, not to mention the other meetings in the neighboring countries.
