HI,

I am fitting a 10" conversion and luck being what it is, I need to slacken the brake hose and pipe securing nut to rotate the hose so that it is still straight when the new caliper is fitted. I have done this on the passenger side, but the drivers side is a git due to poor access, so I wondered if I could get away with adding a copper washer between the hose and the caliper as this will change the finished position of the hose when tight and may get it straight without having to rotate the hose...

Any issue with doing this?

I could possibly see there would be an issue with trying to get 2 copper washers to seal against each other. Although you should already have a copper washer between the hose and the calliper. And normally the best way of fitting new flexi hoses is to fully tighten the calliper end first and then fit/adjust the other end so the hose doesn't foul up on anything.

not to worry, just bit the bullet and removed the banjo bolt etc. Wasn't as bad as I thought, once the ECU was out the way I managed to get in from the top with two extension bars joined and could get a socket onto the big retaining nut.

Cheers

Craig
