just let you know. I have a 1992 british open spi car. It wasnt responding to the throttle as i expected. After fixing the usual vacuum-leaks it still wasnt responding, sort of a hesitation in a pedal-to-the-metal situation. I removed the tps and measured its resistance. No good at all. So i decided to try and fix it before i replaced ot. Said and done, i took my drill and drilled a small hole(around 3 mm) at the flat side of it. In this hole i sprayed a fair amount of Wd40 and then i rotated the arm back and forth a number of times. Then i measured again, now its coresponding perfectly. Mounted the thing on the car, now it runs like expected. Just be very very careful when you drill and and seal the hole with some tape afterwards. Just my two cents
