Whilst building my 1275 I have considered a wide range of security options mainly standard visual deterrents but also marking the vehicle so that if it is stolen it can easily be identified even in bits. I've stamped the registration number into components but it is a little more difficult to do this to the bodyshell without distorting panels.

Invisible markers are good but not an ideal deterrent but a good recovery tool. Anyway, we produce a lot of labels using a vinyl called ultra destructible. This is basically impossible to remove and if you try it comes off in bits and is a pain to take off.

My idea is to stick small stickers all over the bodyshell in very discreet places and to cross reference each label with a number so I can identify my car/shell if it is ever recovered.

I've posted a couple of images below, these are not affected by petrol or any type of thinners and once stuck cannot be removed. I'm thinking inside corners of the roof, basically all over the place, with a deterrent sticker stuck to the window.

It won't stop a theft but they may well help you get your car back into the future.

I've now added some of these to my subframes and painted over them, just wipe off with celly and you will see the registration underneath. Don't forget the surface has to be clean, dry and free from grease.

Anything to aid recovery basically. I've blurred the registrations to protect the cars except for mine.

To order a set just drop me a PM with your registration number and delivery address. The cost including post is £3.99. Each sticker is 35mm x 8mm and there are 60 stickers with two larger ones 60mm x 14mm for your windows. Just remember once on, very difficult to remove after 30 minutes.

How would these fair against one of those scrapers with a razor blade?

You could scrape it off if you could get the scraper to the sticker on the car. Although with 60 stickers firmly stuck on I don't think you would be able to find every single one especially if you attach them to the inside of the door frame, under petrol tanks etc. Still beats having something you could just peel or pick off :)

Every little bit helps!

You'll have to buy a set to try them out :) at £3.99 they may well break the bank but the feedback we've had to date has been excellent.

Just another tool to make it easier to identify your car if stolen.

Just purchased a sheet of these for my mini and they are absolutley brilliant! Ive just tested one on some scrap metal and CANNOT pick it off at all! Well worth the small ammount of 3.99! A complete no brainer to keep your mini secure and traceable!

I have some and I think it's a brilliant idea, simple as the best ones are.
