Hi all just a quick question. I have a 1977 mini van which I've just started to restore. Just stripped the front subframe so it can be powder coated. It's a full nut and bolt restoration so most parts will be renewed. I was looking on the mini spares website for the bump stops and the type I have took off is the two stud type, they do these no problem but it states they are pre-76 models, any ideas if this is just a typo or is something strange going on as the V5 definitely states 1977.
Cheers all

Darren

Just buy the 2 stud ones, it's may have had a subframe change at some point or just had an earlier subframe put on from standard.

I am going to use the 2 stud ones. The subframe is in excellent condition. Is there anything else I should consider if it has been changed to a pre-76 one ?

We had the 2 stud ones here to the end of production (81).

If you're restoring back to factory original, run with those, however if you are 'do it up' for a daily ride, fit the Hydro Bump stops.

Your car may well have been registered in 77 but that has nothing to do with the manufacturer year.

'76 was the major revision that gave us the rubber subby mounts. I'm pretty sure I've had them with 2 stud bump stops though.

Cheers for the info - I'll post pics of the project when I've got more done.
