Hi all...am hoping someone more knowledgable than myself (most of you ;-)) will be able to identify these unplugged wires in the picture. Everything electrical on the car seems to work, with the exception of the reverse lights but I dont think its anything to do with them. One wire is black, the other is black and white and are in my 86 998 standard Mayfair. Not causing any problems they just bug me all flapping about in there without a home!! Is there a wire to the top of the brake fluid reservoir?

As Carlos has asked, those colours would normally be on the Brake Master Cylinder cap, its the circuit to bring on the warning light in the event of loss of fluid

Think youre right there Carlos / Dave. Can see the spade on the cap but no wire connected. OP does the light come on when you test you're brake warning light?

Usually when you press the Brake warning light the bulb will come on as the switch has a earth contact as a means to test the lamp, the cap also has a earth the black to bring on the light if if fluid loss occurs.
