Hi Folks,
We have recently purchased a Mini 30th Anniversary Edition as a rebuild project for our workshop. It is in a reasonably sorry state and has had the front chopped and a flip front installed. We are in a bit of a quandry as to how far to take a restoration and how authentic we should keep the car, especially as the car has the flip front installed.
We would welcome any suggestions on the best route to take.
The work is being done in our workshop in Emsworth. It's a DIY car garage setup as a 'rent-a-ramp' where people can bring their car and carry out whatever work needed. We have a fully equipped workshop with 3x 3.5 tonne vehicle lifts/ramps, fully fitted airlines and tools powered by an industrial grade compressor, MIG and TIG welding gear, 20 tonne press, massive range of handtools, a large petrol steam pressure washer, a huge heater for the winter and free wifi.
We also for the less confident have a mechanic on site who can either assist you with jobs or complete all the work for you.
