We had an awesome time out and about in Cherokee, NC driving all our minis around the mountains. I put together and 6 min video of the whole trip. This was with the Classic Minis United group here in the USA. Hope you all enjoy!

I think total we had about 65-70 so you were pretty damn close. It was an incredible weekend.

Where do all the cars come from? all NC or further afield? I'm not too hot on US plates...

Good variety of Mins too. Did you have the roads closed , can't believe how quiet they are compared to over here.

They generally come from all over the USA. Mostly east coasters because as you know driving a mini long distance is.....challenging. I think the farthest someone drove was from Ohio which is around a 8-9 hour drive. And they didn't tow the mini. I'm a weenie and towed mine in from just 3 hours away.

The roads weren't closed. So those roads were all in super rural North Carolina. So lots of open space and not much population density. If we were closer to a metro city center like Charlotte or Asheville it would have been much busier and much more difficult to drive all these minis around.

...and you'd have caused a whiplash epidemic with all the heads you'd have turned. I imagine a Martian invasion would be less unexpected!
You'd be lucky to find any UK roads of that size as empty during the day, though it's also hard to get more than an hour away from a decent sized town.
