Hi folks just bought a second hand pair of rear shock ( gaz ones ) now are these ment to be easy to compress regardless of settings and hard to extend ?? Or are these goosed as they were listed as missing a Bush otherwise good to go. Any help would be great as I'm getting my money back if there junk

If they have been laying over, they should be stood and bled before making such an assessment.

Stood and bled??? I though shocks should extend on there own. Unless there goosed. By bled do you mean extend them and leave them to stand??

It depends on the type of damper. Most dampers do not extend to full lenght on their own, including adjustable types. The only dampers which self-extend in my experience are the KYB or Kayaba "Gasadgust" ones.

Most dampers are only adjustable one way. Most commonly on rebound (pulling the shock back out - extending the travel) so turning the adjustment knob wont make any difference when you try to compress it.
