Recently got my mini back from the paint shop they have only had the head lights out when painting . I am now having issues with full beam only working on drivers side and passenger side turns off . Also my wipers and washers are not working plus the heater . Could this all be connected in anyway ? All parts were working any ideas ??

Check and clean the bullet connectors behind the grill first off.

Passenger side bulb may be blown, or as above check the bullet connectors behind the grill. I think the washers and heater works off the same feed so check the fuses and terminals at the fuse box.

The flashers will go fast if theres a blown bulb or bad connection at the one thats not working.

So if I can ask a stupid question - what do people do when their body shell comes back from the paint shop all shiny and new and it's time to refit all those earthing points. Scrape away the paint? I'm in this position now. Some are anchored with self tappers so I guess they will probably bond ok? But surely not the earthing strap from the clutch housing to the inner wing...?

Clutch housing to body is important and any connection should be clean metal, or the current with find another path like the throttle/choke cable, I dont scrape it back I use emery paper in a circular finger tip motion, looks nicer and does not come outside the bolted area if your careful.
