Hi I'm James, I've had my Mini for 8 years but it has been on sorn for thr last 7 years.
She is my 12th Mini I think,my first was a Mini 1000 in 1984 before I was old enough to drive. The number plate was KUY765D. I learnt to drive in a Y plate Mayfair and was hooked. I have had a Mini since 1986.
The longest I kept one was a Mini 30 and had her for 13 1/2 years before she was written off.
In the mid 80s I started going around all the Mini shows with the Bristol and District Mini Owners Club. At this time I had a early 1275GT on 10" wheels, then I bought a Sandglow 1275GT on 12" wheels. Which I wrote off at Castle Cary on the way home from Weymouth.
Then when I settled down the trips stopped
Then we bought a 05 Mini Cooper S and went to a few more shows, but it's not the same as going in a proper Mini or Classic as they are known today.

Now I have a Classic Mini. I will leave my car to the other topic.

Thanks for the welcome. Pics will be sorted as soon as I find my tiny pic password. I posted with that heading as when I looked through "have we one of everything" I didn't see one mentioned. Hopefully there might be another turn up at Beaulieu or one of the other memeetings.
