Pro's it will help the card from icing and freezing the fuel in those long cold bitter Winters.
Cons Your engine will produce more power the colder the intake charge is so heating the inlet manifold, especially on warm days will give reduced power.

Dont bother. Waste of time unless running in seriously cold weather all the time.

Any heat transferred to the charge will be minimal, and on a road car any loss in power will be negligible/ if at all noticeable to the general driver. However fuel coming out of suspension onto the intake track walls will affect the tune of the engine and it'll be noticeable.

Not spring washers Diego, stepped steel washers to allow for the different thicknesses (the intake manifold was butchered before I got it) then plain washers.

Ooo.. you've got me thinking now.. it must be spring washers, I think you can see the gap on number 4.

This is what's written in the Vizard guide. The intake charge spends insufficient time in that part if tract to pick up any meaningful heat. But any fuel that gathers on the walls or puddles is quickly evaporated.
