Pro's it will help the card from icing and freezing the fuel in those long cold bitter Winters.

Cons Your engine will produce more power the colder the intake charge is so heating the inlet manifold, especially on warm days will give reduced power.

As above....standard manifolds provide a hot spot from the exhaust to inlet for the preheating

Dont bother.  Waste of time unless running in seriously cold weather all the time.

A heated manifold has nothing to do with carb icing or fuel freezing. It has no measurable effect on intake charge temperature. Simply put on a road car it is a good thing. This has been posted on here countless times, have a look at some old threads.

Just to throw a spanner in the works, it's not to do with carb icing. The carb is upstream of the manifold and should have an insulating spacer between anyway. The heated manifold is to prevent the intake charge condensing on the manifold walls.

Any heat transferred to the charge will be minimal, and on a road car any loss in power will be negligible/ if at all noticeable to the general driver. However fuel coming out of suspension onto the intake track walls will affect the tune of the engine and it'll be noticeable.

i always thought it would help with fuel atomisation.

Not spring washers Diego, stepped steel washers to allow for the different thicknesses (the intake manifold was butchered before I got it) then plain washers.

Why the plain washers? :) always wonder if i should put spring washers or not on the manifold..

Ooo.. you've got me thinking now.. it must be spring washers, I think you can see the gap on number 4.  =]

i always thought it would help with fuel atomisation.

This is what's written in the Vizard guide. The intake charge spends insufficient time in that part if tract to pick up any meaningful heat. But any fuel that gathers on the walls or puddles is quickly evaporated.
