Rightio, i'm stuck..
I have the loom from promotive and it is all connected (as far as im aware) but still no ignition..
Now, do i need to connect the bits up to the old mini loom?
I'm getting abit confused. Maybe 'because i'm hungry..
Anyone shed some light on this situation?

The two looms will need to be integrated.
From the Pro-motive loom you have 3 wires for ignition. earth wire, solid white and a white/red. One is ignition live the other ignition cranking but cant remember which.
Match these up with the same from the mini loom.
You will also have a brown wire from the mini loom which needs to go tonthe live terminal on the starter solenoid

Ahh yes. I have managed to get it to crank and start.. kind of..
Still abit confused over what wires actually connect the two looms together. I know which ones are for cranking, ignition. Just unsure of any else on the mini loom part. Like the ones for the alternator on the mini loom.. where do these go..

Those 4 wires are the only ones on ignition side of things you need.
I had a mk4 loom made up by autosparks with everything that wasnt required left out and a few extras and additional length on wires to route them how I wanted.
alternator wire is redundant

Hmm ok, i get you.
So what wires from the mini loom connect to the bike starter solonoid? I have connected a wire from the mini loom which has a ring terminal on it with 2 brown wired to it.. but there is another one the same that i haven't connected yet

Yeh that's right with the brown one. Positive side of bike starter solenoid.
Might have been a double black wire on a ring terminal too which just needs earthing but that's it
