Have finally got to the stage of starting up my project and nothing.

its an spi and has a 3as immobiliser installed but have no fob.

Unfortunately I had no clue about needing a fob being all my other minis never had immobilisers.

The magic question is what do I do, have read about cutting wire 13 but cant see how this works as the ecu needs to be told to activate surely.

Any information would be apreciated

hi thanks for the links. How do I tell if the immobiliser is actually active.

I turn the ignition on and the fuel pump activates, the main relay clicks and the injector moves.

when I turn the key get nothing on the ignition live to the starter motor, I have tried the motor on a permanent live and does work.

Not sure, but have a chap with one of the companies listed and see if they can help, but either way I think you are going to need to get a fob at some point. Think remote key says they are closed until the 11th May

What year is your mini? If you can trailer your car to Vmax in East Molesley, Stuart Gurr there can program new fobs

thanks again, made a bit of progress. opened the main relay to ensure it was ok and noticed the relay moved but not the ignition starter one so gave it a prod with a screwdriver which made the starter work, unfortunately doesn't work with just the key but pushing with a screwdriver does so hopefully the immobiliser is deactivated but seems the main relay may be faulty.

Okay two points
1) 3AS isn't the same as 5AS so many of the discussions and knowledge is about 5AS, plus the way it works and the circuits are different.
2) we don't want open discussion about bypassing factory immobilisers on a public forum.

Derry100 suggest you look for a local specialist or follow the links given.

I'm locking this.
