Hi all,

 

Brand new so thought I would say hello!

 

My Dad has just acquired a 1997 Cooper which has just spent 6wks in the garage having lots done as he has 2 classics and is intending on showing them as his hobby. 

 

I will be stealing the Mini as he also has an MGB GT and loves classic British motors.

 

The mini will be a weekend car for fun and also will be attending shows as well as myself taking it to meet ups in and around Yorkshire to meet other mini enthusiasts :)

 

Just wanted to say hi and thanks for letting us be a part of the forum :)

your dad sounds a bit like mine (except i bought my mini and then let kindly let him do all the work on it ) He currently has 4 classics, 2 of which are on the road, the others are buried in the garage. He's always wanted an MGB GT and is trying to persuade my older sister to go half on one.

 

Where abouts are you? i'm in pontefract/selby?

 

And yeh i believe mini adventure is Pickering in middle of june, still deciding whether im going or not.....

HaHa no way ... We in Ackworth which is 3 miles from Ponty.

 

Yes will be going as a close friend of mine has 2 minis so he is going so will be making the mission over their :) 

 

Have to see if there's a mini meet up at the Redbeck anytime soon then guys :)

Yeh that is pretty close. They meet up on the last Wednesday of the month, I'll be there at the next one hopefully :) they're a friendly bunch :) google/facebook fabmoc and you should find the forum

7.30 they meet at redbeck then go to a pub round the corner :) 

 

My dad loved being able to drink but didn't appreciate my driving.... no idea why
