spot on, except the hinges should be either the car colour or door colour, not both

Unless they were blue to match the door and then some lazy/careless owner started to primer the a panel or course!

Not quite. I've seen people split mk1 hinges apart to remove the door.

Ok then you should see the door part inset into the body part! Also, how often you seen that compared to separating at the other two points

"C" reg Mk 1 would be sliding windows wouldn't it?  My "H" reg MkII was still sliding.  Otherwise really amazing!

Always was the only way to get mk1 doors off as the A panel nuts would be rotten and the door card got in the way of the others.

Perhaps he should have really finished it off by tearing some holes in it and breaking bits off.

 

I think a few scabs and holes would be an improvement, other than that, looks good

Some lumpy patches with underseal on the sills and a bottom rear quarter repair panel in red oxide primer would be my add ons :-)
