yeah what he said lol

have a look in the projects section and you will see a few pics of what it looks like after the seat squab and bins have been removed.

also dont forget that the seatbelt mounting points are in the rear bins, so you will need harnesses after removing them if you dont already

:( a door bin is generally fitted to a door, so sprocket was right. don't know what the technical name is for the ones in the back though. anyhow, if you arent fitting harnesses, you will need some way of mounting your belts correctly for the MOT man.

i've sorted that, spoke to the mot man i use, he said untill i get harness's weld a 15cm square patch on the floor & drill an appropriate size hole in it to match the mount from the rear bin, then weld the mount from the rear bin to it, then i can still use the inertia belts, he asured me many times this will be plenty strong enough with continuous weld! top stuff! there is one good reason me to get harness's tho! my seatbelts are brown aaaarrrrhhh!

yes, full saftey devices front and rear with non-removable diagnal (soz bout the spellin) + some 1" box section down the inner sills!!! & the car is solid as a rock!!! never been welded, the only rust is in the doors, its scratched & dented but very solid, bugger the doors tho! and the shell & subframes has been drenched in waxoil, in the box sections, i've been super effeciant in the rust proofing :oP, i've probobly put most of the weight i'm trying to loose from the shell back in anti-rust-wax, i've used 7.5 litres hehe!!!!

As the rear bins are spot welded, you will find it much easer and make a neater job of removing them by using a spot-weld drill bit.

That way you just drill out the spot-welds and it should just pull out, providing you removed all the spot-welds of course.
