95 Mayfair SPi shell but carb not injection, I understand the alarm would have been standard on a Mayfair possibly a single button unit? The car came without a fob and I've no idea what is tucked away behind the dash from original, maybe unplugged, maybe removed totally, never had one or just all in place but needs sending off for a recode/refurb and a pair of new fobs?

So where is it meant to be and how do I get at it with the factory Walnut dash in place? Thanks.

As far as I'm aware, they're mounted on the bulkhead behind the dash on the passenger side. That's certainly where mine seems to have been on my 95 Sidewalk, but someone in the past has taken it off it's fixings and it now sits on the shelf under the glovebox (don't really know why).

Thanks humph, how do I get at that side of the bulkhead? Can I just tease that end out or is it a full on dash removal job? I can't see any fixings although I haven't looked that hard! Ta

remove the air vents and have a look for fixings, also there may be one behind the stereo as well, you might be able to loosen them and tilt the dash forward enough to get to the module without actually removing the dash

When I bought my car there was no glove box, just the opening for one so access was easy. Can't answer definitively if you have the OEM dash and glovebox I'm afraid.
