Hi I am looking at buying a classic mini and have seen one for sale but wondered if it was a good price. It's a mini cooper sport 2000. Says it had a restoration in 2012 and has 134000 miles. They are asking £6500. Also is this considered high mileage and develop any issues with this type of mileage.

is there much rust on it and whats the condition like

I would say if they bodywork is all good and the engine was fully rebuilt, then the high mileage shouldn't matter.

the problem is one mans restoration , is another mans wipe down with an oily rag

 

is it a real copper sport ?

 

concentrate on what needs doing & less on what was claimed to have been done

 

the later mini's were poor for rotting around & under scuttle & front end - which is easily covered up only to come thru later

 

has it got the dreaded over sills & any rot around heel board ?

I haven't actually seen it yet it's on website for mini dealer in Cambridge. Does anyone know of them.
