Hi;

In my project thread here I have posted up some pics of the repair I am currently doing which is repairing the Inner Wing and Flitch Panel.

The Flitch Repair Panel is a Magnum one from Mini Spares.

In my thread I noted that before removing the vent the new panel vent and four vent bolt holes are not in line with the vent.

Questions:

1. Is there enough play in the vent to not make a difference i.e. if I weld the Flitch Panel in and use the existing Vent Mounting holes will the vent fit?

2. If the answer to question 1 is NO how do I proceed with this repair?

Here are some of the pics:

With the old vent mounting point out of the way the new one will fit fine. You will need to add captive nuts though as the magnum panel does not come with them fitted.
