Hi guys!

Just noticed that 1 of the pistons has ' scratched' the cylinder wall a bit.

This is on a new build ( hasn't run yet) 1330 cc, ne wpistons+ rings.

Everything was gapped correctly, and we can rule out swarf as everything was chirurigcally clean when assembeled.

Is it normal for new pistons to 'scratch' the bore vertically when it's not yet run it? Think it made like 10 revolutions orso, just for flywheel fitting etc.

Can't feel it with my fingernail, but doesn't  'wipe away' when I rub it with some cloth either.
WOuld make a pic, but camera/phoen is playing up a bit, searched for a  pic on internet an dlooks a bit like this : greenleesfinalfinish_2136_resized.jpg

only 1 line and much smaller though ( think 0.5 mm wide)

thanks!

Was not deep enough to feel te scratch with my finger, couldnt really catch my nail either. Put oil down the bores and no difference beteeen cyl 1 and 4 so I guess it wont cause problems?
