Ok here goes

New set up adjustable gaz dampers new hi lows with coil springs (i know the purists will say go rubber but its what my son wanted)

set the ride height quite high as knew things would settle down. mile down the road started ribbing on the arches..! returned home then after a few mins height returned??

Would up even higher and resolved the problem of the rubbing but the car looks like a 4x4 lol as it keeps rising up?

Is this just the springs bedding in as it were and need to compress to there own level? just cant understand the rising back up?

Thanks in advance

sounds like you have the shocks set with to much rebound so it is packing down.

solution reduce rebound.

You might get a nominal amount of settling with coil springs after a month or so but for the purpose of your problem no. Where did you buy the springs from and what rating are they?

way too stiff. They are not opening fast enough.

That is why coil springs are a very poor idea. It's not a case of being purist, it's a case of coil springs being unsuitable for general use due to the need for accurate rising rate of springing which only the rubber cone springs can give with such short suspension travel.

Coil springs are for racing on totally smooth tracks where a high initial rate is needed to enable the damper settings to be set for race conditions.
