Hi

 

Anyone got a photo of where the retaining strap for the fuel tank fits please? Particularly the rear bracket.

Edit: I don't seem to be able to fix the lower end of the strap. There's nothing to put it to. I replaced the boot floor but I was sure the old boot floor didn't have a bracket there either.

Maybe it had been repaired previous to your repair and had a nut and bolt just through the floor. Maybe study photos on google images, other than that I can't help much , mines an spi, it has side bracket.

It is welded to the boot floor. You can just about make it out in this pic - the lip on the tank sits against it, to the right of it. The bolt for the strap, which includes a square plate, bolts into the hole in the bracket (not the hole in the tank lip which is unused and won't line up with the bracket hole) through a captive nut in the bracket:
