Mmm a lot of conflicting stories about this stuff. Would I use it........ Probably not but a real time test against two comparable engines one with one without said product then a full strip down after 25,000 miles. These engines would need to be used in real time day to day driving and not the odd blast here and there.

The BIG question about oil additives in the oil for a classic Mini is whether it is OK with the gearbox syncros. A lot of additives are not and they stop the syncro cones from spinning up the gears due to reduction in friction.

Just check this out with the suppliers and get the answer in writing, then if it screws up the syncromesh they might pay for the gearbox rebuild ;D .

slick 50 is and has always been a complete joke. even dupont said teflon should not be used in an engine.

Why would you want an oil to increase tickover?
