I've been out tonight and my 92 city has developed a grinding noise when turning right under the passenger side front arch. It's as soon as i turn right and dissapears as I turn a bit further but then reappears as I steer back past the same point.

I think it has only just appeared but the car is pretty noisy so it could have been building up

Thoughts?

Is the wheel rubbing on the arch? Could be the rubber spring has finally given up, or the knuckle worn through the nylon cup. Our 96 Spi started doing that, especially when reversing, and the spring was like a Lancastrian tea-cake when we got it out...

could be a number of things - time to get under there and have a look see if you can repeat it

one thing to check would be the wheel bearing

Well I found the problem and now I feel a bit stupid ( in my defence, it was dark last night)

It was all caused by a piece of plastic coming off the edge of the chrome arches! Lol
